On March 4, the world of football was covered in mourning by the surprise death of the captain of Fiorentina, Italian team of Serie A. Davide Astori had a cardiac arrest during the stay in a hotel with his team while he slept.
The news traveled quickly all over the world, until reaching the soccer simulators. EA Sports, the company responsible for FIFA 18, expressed its most sincere condolences to Astori's family, announcing that the player will not be removed from his video game.
Apparently, EA Sports would have talked with a representative of Fiorentina, setting this last decision to leave the captain of the team within FIFA 18. Unfortunately, if it will be removed from FIFA Ultimate Team, so the company will set a maximum price of player's letters so that it is not exploited.

The company behind FIFA announced that the former player will not be eliminated from the latest version of the title. Through a message, the company determined that, in conjunction with the viola, they decided that the best way to honor his legacy was to leave him as part of the current staff of the Italian club.
"Together with the entire world of football, we are saddened by the death of Astori (...) Once again we send our condolences, to all in the Fiorentin and to all his followers throughout the world," EA said.
