There are different ranks that players can reach in the Weekend League, and those who have recorded more than six wins in the game mode can choose a reward from a selection of cards.
The higher your rank, the more cards of this type you can choose as a reward. That said, after the rewards were published on January 2, just like every Thursday, players couldn't believe what had happened with their apparent selections of red cards.
EA SPORTS's online Twitter support account, EA Help, received a series of complaints regarding selections, with community members claiming that instead of inForm red cards to choose from, they were simply offered a bunch of cards regular.
A Twitter user, Aidan Wagg, tweeted: "I just opened FIFA 20 to open my FUT Champs rewards and instead of a red player choice I have normal gold cards. Can you help me?"
The number of matches and victories that players have to make their way over a weekend to get these rewards is exhausting enough for some players to get away from the challenge. Those who have not received the correct awards for doing so are understandably upset.
Since then EA SPORTS has addressed the issue publicly, confirming that there was a problem and that the development team is working to get the problems resolved quickly.
It is not clear if this fault in the rewards has affected all the players who participated after Christmas, but one thing is for sure, a solution is on its way.
Those affected by the problem are advised to contact EA directly or to monitor the situation in their social networks, through the EA Help section. Hopefully for all involved it won't take long.
