Update 12 comes with several changes for FIFA 20 but the biggest feature is the newest game mode Conmebol. This is a content update that includes new modes and players. Conmebol competitions are now available in Career and Kick Off. If you want to enjoy the addition in Career mode, you first need to start a new Career mode save. Do that and you will notice that three new competitions are now available.
You will be able to play Libertadores, Recopa, and Sudamericana. If you are playing this mode with a team from South America, these competitions will be included by default just like the other tournaments. If you are starting a Kick Off mode game after the update, you will see more match types. This mode now has the three competitions. Libertadores includes exhibition, group stage, semi-final, and final. There are also the Sudamericana Final and Recopa. This goes for the Kick Off Cup Final as well.
Conmebol Libertadores is a new standalone competition. You will find it in the game's main menu. When you start playing this mode, you have the option to make changes to the teams that are taking part in the tournament. You will also be able to tweak with the groups. Conmebol visual items such as new stadiums, teams, kits, and more are also part of the game. More than 800 Conmebol footballers have been added as well.
Another important aspect of the update is the change of the overload ball side. The effect of this D-Pad tactic on the stamina has been boosted. The constant pressure on stamina was also increased to keep up with the effect of the overload ball side. What does this mean for you? It means that if you have overload ball side activated, your stamina will deplete 2.4 times faster. This effect is active only when your team is defending and the ball is in the enemy's possession. If your team has the ball, then the stamina drain is normal.
Other updates include the adding of 17 new Star Heads and changes to Ultimate Team and Volta. The issue that showed an incorrect quick sell price and prevented players from quick selling the item was fixed. This happened when players attempted to quick sell squad fitness items from the squad actions menu.
The issue that prevented player pick items from being correctly displayed when the FUT Champions game ended was also fixed. In Volta mode, the avatars that join you after the Tokyo part of the story now have the correct attributes. This update comes on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
