What You Need To Know About The eChampions League

FIFA 21 eChampions League is back in the Global Series. The popular competition returns under a new form. The tournament is based on the UEFA Champions League. The developers are recreating this famous club competition within the game and the players are invited to join. First of all, you need to register and achieve FUT Champion Verified status. You have until December 31st to complete the registration process and get Elite 1 in the Weekend League. If you are a FUT Verified competitor and you are living in Europe, you can join the competition. You can read more about the registration process on the official website.

The tournament begins in February. This the first stage. Then comes the Knockout phase that takes place at the beginning of May. The tournament ends with the Finals on May 28th. The participants will be the first 64 European gamers from the FGS 19 and 20 leaderboards. There will also be the first 32 players from the FGS 21 European Regional leaderboard. The results from January 27th are taken into consideration. All these 96 players will take part in the second stage of the eChampions Online qualifier. The qualifiers take place on February 1st, 13th, and 14th.  The first stage is on February 1st. The participants are the PlayStation4 FUT Champions Verified European players who are not invited to the eChampions Online Group Stage. This tournament will be a single-elimination bracket. The first 64 players will advance to the Group Stage. The second stage of the qualifiers takes place on February 13th and 14th. The participants are the first 64 players from the Play-In Stage and the invited players. This tournament will be a Swiss Group Stage that will have a double-elimination bracket. The first 32 players advance to the Online Knockout Stage. The Knockout Stage tournament will have double-elimination rules. The first eight players go to the Finals. This Knockout event takes place on May 1st and 2nd. The competition is streamed on Twitch so you have the chance to watch it live. The Finals have double-elimination rules too. Only one player will be crowned champion. The Finals take place on 28th May. This event is live-streamed on Twitch as well. The total prize pool for the eChampions League is $280,000. Not only the participants get prizes. If you watch the show on Twitch, you might get FGS Viewership rewards. There are no details about this program. More will be revealed as we get closer to the events.
