We've had a number of different promotions, including the Ones to Watch and Rulebreakers promotions, and we've also seen the first ICON SBCs hit the game. But as they say, all good things must come to an end, and such is the case with FUT Season 1, which comes to an end later this week. It's not all bad news, though, as Season 2 is waiting to take its place. Here's everything we know so far.

Season 2 start date

Season 2 of FUT Ultimate Team will begin later this week.

The fun of Season 1 will end on Thursday 11 November and you'll only have 48 hours to complete the remaining rewards. However, you won't have to wait long to access the new series, as Season 2 will be released in just a few hours, on Friday 12 November at 8am GMT.

Season 2 objectives

As usual, the release will be accompanied by a series of new objectives to unlock some tasty rewards. There will be 30 levels to complete, with a number of different rewards up for grabs each time a new ranking is reached. We'll update this section of the article with all the key objectives once Season 2 hits FUT 22's Ultimate Team.

Season 2 rewards

Now here's the big question, what will be on offer for those who get caught up in all that Season 2 has to offer?

Storyline players

The main reward on offer will almost certainly be another storyline player. Normally EA releases two batches of Storyline Players with each release, but they've only chosen one set for Season 1, with a choice of three cards at level 30. With the game in full swing, we expect to see EA revert back to the original way of offering a choice at level 15, with the main choice appearing at level 30. If the recent releases are anything to go by, we may well see three lesser used leagues at level 15, with three of the more popular ones available for those grafting through the full list of objectives.

League Goals

We are also expecting the League Goals card to return for season 2. We haven't seen them in FUT since FUT 21 Season 5, but recent rumours on social media suggest they have been added to the FUT 22 database and will be released soon. We can expect to see any league goals that come in appear as 85-86 OVRs.

Icon Swaps

ICON content has started to appear in FUT 22, which has fans excited about the potential return of ICON Swaps. Swaps give players the chance to earn a number of ICON-related rewards for free, including player choice, combos and even individual ICONs themselves. Now we don't want to spoil the excitement, but it seems highly unlikely to suggest that EA will be offering free ICONs to the community this side of the FUT year. We'd love to see Swaps implemented, but we're not expecting it just yet.
